I used to spend a lot of time focused on noticing

I used to spend a lot of time focused on noticing red flags. 🚩🚩🚩

I wanted to stay alert to ensure I didn’t miss the signs.

Now, I know I don’t miss them because I am paying attention!

Instead, I focus on green flags and noticing those instead.

Green flags for me in another person are:

✅ Honesty
✅ Humor
✅ Kindness
✅ Empathy
✅ Encouragement
✅ Leadership
✅ Joy

I was 32 when I gave birth to my son. That was considered old at the time.

Now, when I get together with my friends from college many of them have kids a few years older than Dylan. I never noticed it until now.

I just posted this pic (on Linkedin) of my friend’s teens with me and my girlfriend out for dinner.

Then I saw the comments…

Who are the hot ones?? WHAT?!?!

Can we implement a new law that adults can’t call teenage girls hot?

I guess God gave me what I can handle, a boy. Thank you!

Does anyone else find that disturbing or does that just show my age??? Lol

What I like most about him is his confidence. He was willing to go off script.

Most A-list celebrities aren’t open to off script convos.

He was also open to getting into his personal life and taking a very unconventional approach that I clearly didn’t agree with. I love when someone is more concerned with being who they are rather than trying to please everyone around them.

15 years ago I met my friend Saif.

He nominated me to my first board seat which I am so grateful for!

I served for a decade under him @City Year Miami working to support underprivileged youth in Miami schools.

He taught me so much but the most important thing is that no matter what you look like, where you are from or what your background is your hearts can be the same.

He has the biggest heart and is always helping others and serving our community to make the world a brighter place.

When I was in Saudi, he took time to introduce me to everyone and guide me around Riyadh.

I am forever grateful for our friendship and all of the support he and his wife always give me.

Today, I want to congratulate him on the biggest Miami accolade there is.

Congratulations on being selected to be a member of the 2024 Class of the @Orange Bowl Committee! No one will rep the 305 better than YOU! 🔥

Proud of you today and everyday!

👉🏻 Not asking means being filled with Regret
👉🏻 Not asking means playing the What-If game
👉🏻 Not asking means denying someone else the opportunity to help you

Being rejected is actually a redirection to something so much greater!

Or if you love my Chris Voss episodes you know that NO is the beginning of the negotiation!

A closed mouth doesn’t get fed.

That advice dates back to the bible.

So ask.

But what if they say “YES”?
