A lot of people told me not to do it. Did it work? YES!

Well, it worked for the first stage and then after that I kept my heels on ;)

I learned it on the fly, and those lessons became my edge.

Here’s what I do now when life hands me a pop quiz:

1️⃣ Breathe, then name the story I’m telling myself. Replace fear with facts.

2️⃣ Take one courageous action fast – email, pitch, post. Momentum beats perfection.

3️⃣ Ask for help. Confidence isn’t solo, and kindness attracts allies.

4️⃣ Write the lesson and build a boundary or system so it doesn’t repeat.

5️⃣ Share the takeaway. Your scar can be someone else’s shortcut.

“Why did you kick your shoes off on stage?”

I’ve been asked this question nonstop since speaking at the biggest business conference in the US last week. 😱

Here’s the truth: when you’re the only female speaker on the lineup, you need to make an impact.
The night before, Jesse Itzler told me he was bringing a DJ on stage.

I knew David Goggins had dropped a lot of F-bombs.

So I asked myself: what can I do to disrupt, surprise, and get them to pay attention?

Right before walking on, I turned to the stage manager:

“Mind if I take my shoes off?”
He laughed: “No one’s ever done that before… do what you want.”

So I did.

And the moment I kicked them off, the crowd went wild. The whole room stood up. Energy shifted instantly.

👉 The lesson? The risk is always the move.
Playing safe isn’t memorable or fun.
