In today’s day and age, it’s easy to get distracted by the constant availability of content whether it be via television, social media or podcasts. A few years ago, I was searching for deeper insight, actionable tools and, most importantly, new role models that I could take actionable lessons from as I shaped and scaled my own career and businesses. I jumped down the Audible rabbit hole and I’ve never looked back.
Regardless of how much success we achieve, we must always continue to grow. The best way to never stop growing is to look to other women who are thriving by applying the tips, strategies and tactics they so generously share in their books.
Here are five of my favorite books from successful women who left a lasting impact on my every day. I’m confident they’ll inspire you, too.
Heather Monahan: Confidence Creator
This book will help you discover the root of your lack of confidence and show you how to take charge of your life.
I really appreciate the candor with which Heather shared her story. Her climb to the top in sales was admirable, and how she reinvented herself when that came to an end was inspiring. She stands in her truth and consistently turns difficult situations into opportunities. I can totally relate to some of the challenges that Heather faced while climbing the corporate ladder, and I loved how she took an unfortunate circumstance and used it as a springboard to success. If you struggle with confidence or you are looking for tactics to strengthen how you show up in business and in life, this book is for you.
Rha Goddess: The Calling: 3 Fundamental Shifts to Stay True, Get Paid, and Do Good
Entrepreneur Rha Goddess helps you get clear on your vision and redefine success by following your true calling using her ‘L3’ philosophy.
This is an amazing book as it gives you a step-by-step blueprint on how to overcome the blocks that get in the way of going after your calling. The tactical tools that she provides make a big difference if you’re willing to do the work. Rha’s consistent reminders to stay true, get paid and do good are excellent reminders that you can align our passions, purpose and profits. For the longest time, I felt as though they couldn’t or possibly wouldn’t overlap. This book showed me they can. This understanding allowed me to truly lean into what I know I’m meant to do while also unapologetically monetizing my skill sets. In turn, I’ve been able to create a business and career that I love.
Gina DeVee: The Audacity to Be Queen: The Unapologetic Art of Dreaming Big and Manifesting Your Most Fabulous Life
To be a successful woman, you have to learn how to go after what you want, and that’s precisely what Gina preaches in her book.
Gina is a true queen when it comes to helping women believe in what they deserve. My favorite part was when she dove into financial abundance and money mindset, giving readers permission to attract the type of wealth and opportunities they desire while staying in alignment with your femininity and grace. What I appreciated most was how Gina stresses that you don’t need to shed your feminine gifts to succeed in a masculine world. Her guidance on a money mindset and creating a divine life continues to show up in the many evolutions of my business and life.
Marshawn Evans: Believe Bigger: Discover the Path to Your Life Purpose
‘Believe Bigger’ is a must-read book for any woman struggling to find her life path but knows she has what it takes to succeed. You’ll learn Marshawn’s five Stages of Divine Reinvention that will help you find your calling.
Marshawn’s five stages walk you through where you are, where you wish you were, and what to do next to reinvent yourself and your life so you can live on purpose with a purpose. I love how she inspires readers to give themselves permission to evolve, which is something women need to hear right now. The pandemic required so many women to pivot with purpose, and while many figured out how to make it through a very difficult season, there’s no greater time than now to reflect with gratitude and level up to live the life you really want.
Jen Sincero: You Are a Badass at Making Money: Master the Mindset of Wealth
Jen wrote this to teach others how the right mindset can help create the wealth and life they deserve. The book is filled with her own personal stories using the law of attraction and a wide range of practical tips you can use daily to always remember that you are a badass.
She reinforces that money is currency and currency is energy. Shifting your money mindset can truly open you up to abundance. When you have more, you can give more, do more and leave an even greater legacy. Money mindset was something I struggled with early on in my entrepreneurial journey, which at times kept me stuck in a scarcity mindset rather than embracing abundance. Pushing through those limiting beliefs and realizing that the more I earned, the more I could give back and be of service in a greater capacity was a game-changer for me.
Whether you’re an entrepreneur or climbing the corporate ladder of success, these books are sure to give you a boost, equip you with valuable tips and advice that can be immediately applied, and help you see abundant possibilities all around you.
I believe in you 1,000% and my hope is that you do too! I encourage you to commit to daily personal development because consistency compounds and six months of dedicated focus can put you five years ahead in life. You’ve got this!
