He DMed me and asked for my help with confidence training.

This is a person who is physically very intimidating at 6’11” and makes MILLIONS each year.

Even the strongest, the best and the brightest struggle with their confidence.

I have always been an underdog. I grew up poor, w

I have always been an underdog.

I grew up poor, was a work study student and was told I could never make it to the C-suite as a woman in business.

I graduated college while working full time and did make it to the C-suite as a Chief Revenue Officer in Media.

Then I was unexpectedly fired when I turned 43.

I was the underdog again.

Until I was named Top 40 Female Keynote Speaker 2020 and Top 50 Keynote Speaker 2022.

This past week I have been surrounded by Celtics fans and Saturday night was not pleasant. Underdog again.

However, I have found being the underdog is the ultimate gift.

They never even see us coming! Lot’s of trash talking and then Monday night a lot of silence.

To everyone out there that is an underdog know this,

YOU are in good company!

May you live a life you love!

This is the wish I have for my son today on his birthday.

Here’s what being a mother has taught me:

You never have all the answers.

You will never be prepared to be a parent.

You will learn unconditional love in a way you didn’t know possible.

You will have moments of struggle as your heart is walking around outside of your body.
You will know that the Best Is Yet to Come!

I am so thankful and grateful for all this young man has taught me and continues to teach me.

Being a parent is the most important “job” you’ll ever have.

What did I miss?

Here’s to your best year yet sweet 16!!! I love you to the moon and back!

I remember that those people chose me, they believe in me, and they trust that I have the skills to lead them.

An IG model/influencer just moved into our building and everyone is going crazy about her.🤩

Cut to: I run into her in the elevator unexpectedly. She’s so sweet and normal.😇

I walk into my home and the first thing I say to my son is:

“She doesn’t look anything like she does in her feed!” yikes, I really said that 🙄

He walks me over to this mirror and asks me if I always look like this OR

Do I look at lot different on my way to spin or when I get home from a run outside???👏🏻

It hit me hard. Anytime you are pointing your finger at someone else,

It is really meant to be pointing back at yourself. 🎯

Have you ever had this experience where you are judging someone else based on something that is really about you and not about them at all? 🤷🏼‍♀️

Reality check - I am a continual work in progress. I am going to keep working!

Getting fired was the best thing that ever happened to me!

I won’t lie, during that moment, I was mortified.

I needed to start over, I needed to get a new job, I was worried how I would pay my bills.

But that setback gave me the opening to work for the best boss ever.

Me.

I needed getting fired to realize that I was destined for WAY more.

I needed that setback to fully unleash my potential.

I focus on the fact that there is a fine line between fear and excitement.

I remind myself that I am excited!!

I am excited to serve those that serve us everyday.

I am grateful to get the chance to live a life of freedom because of their sacrifices.
