Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada received a lesson in “Girl power” tonight at The Las Vegas Aces game. Dozens of girls from local troops showed up to cheer on the Aces at Mandalay Bay. Community outreach has been a priority ever since the WNBA landed in Las Vegas earlier this year, thanks to MGM Resorts. The Aces are proud to highlight strong and successful women who empower, improve and inspire our communities. They hosted a private pre-game “Women Inspiring Women” panel for the Girl Scouts and other community members that centered on the business of sports, career goals and work/life balance. The pre-game event was also meant to spotlight the MGM Resorts Foundation’s Women’s Leadership Conference on Aug. 27-28 at MGM Grand. The President of the WNBA, Lisa Borders will be a keynote speaker at the conference.
